Description

XTrem Racing is a free-to-play racing game that puts the focus on driving feel and track variety rather than flashy presentation. The game includes 30 vehicles divided into three classes — Rally, SuperCar, and Monoplace — and more than 70 tracks that range from snow-covered mountain roads to neon city circuits. It is not a game for everyone, though: the handling model leans toward realistic physics, so players who prefer a more arcade-style setup may need some time to get used to the way cars behave under braking and cornering.

Gameplay and car classes

Each class serves a different purpose. Rally cars are built for drifting on loose surfaces, SuperCars focus on raw acceleration and high-speed stability, and Monoplace vehicles reward precise steering and smooth throttle control. Because the tracks in XTrem Racing are spread across different environments, switching between classes changes the way the same circuit feels. The AI opponents are aggressive enough to push the player into making mistakes, and small errors can cost a race, especially on narrow routes. This adds replay value, but it also means the difficulty curve is uneven at times.

Progression and in-app purchases

The game uses credits as its main currency, earned through races, and players can upgrade their cars to improve acceleration, top speed, and handling. For those who want to skip the grind, the premium options are one-time purchases: Unlock All Tracks, Unlock All Cars, and Remove Ads Forever. These are lifetime unlocks, which is a fair trade compared to subscription-based racers. On the other hand, free players have to accept a slower progression pace and occasional ad interruptions, which is the main drawback of the free-to-play model.

Visuals and experience

Visually, XTrem Racing uses 3D graphics that are optimized for lower-end devices, so the frame rate stays stable even on older phones. Dynamic lighting and weather effects add atmosphere, but the differences between some tracks are mostly cosmetic, and players looking for a fully unique location with each race may be disappointed. The game is also a lengthy single-player experience in practice; there is no multiplayer or online ranking system, so the challenge comes from beating the AI and improving lap times rather than competing against other players. For solo racing fans, that is enough for a decent amount of playtime, but anyone expecting a connected leaderboard experience will find that part missing.
