These segments keep the runner formula going in the background, but the boss becomes vulnerable only at specific moments. If you waste your special too early, you will sit through a long animation while the boss slowly recovers. Patience beats button mashing here.
For new players, the biggest trap is chasing every collectible. Survival distance is scored much higher than item pickups, so a clean forty-second run can beat a messy minute-long run where you swerved for every Akuma token. Ignore the shiny stuff until you can clear the first boss reliably.
